![]() Enable JavaScript programing on browser (Netscape)
Note: The instructions and specifications are for Netscape 4. All versions are similar.
To enable the Netscape's JavaScript capabilities, start the program, then click Edit on the menu, located at top left corner of the browser. Go down the menu list and select Preferences.
Once the Preference Window opens, go down the Catagory List and select Advanced. Selecting Advanced will bring up the Advanced Options List to the right of the Preference Window. Once the Advanced Options List appears, find Enable JavaScript and check the box next to it.
When finished click OK. If the box is already checked, leave the settings alone and hit Cancel.
Once the JavaScript programing is enabled it will stay that way until you change the settings. Most websites (90%) use some sort of JavaScripts on their sites, so it is recommended to leave your browser JavaScript enabled.
